Sportswise appointed by British Equestrian Federation
28th Mar 2012Sportswise has been commissioned by the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) to help develop new products aimed at growing participation in equestrian activity. The research project and subsequent insights will help the BEF with the planning and submission of their Whole Sports Plan to Sport England.
Sportwise will be targeting lapsed and infrequent horse riders to engage them on how and what will enable them to participate on a more frequent basis. The research will include generating and testing new product ideas and new marketing and promotional campaigns targeting particular consumer segments most disposed to horse riding.
Jon Downer at Sportswise commented, “This is a critically important project for the BEF and the sector as a whole. We will be running two days of workshops with equestrian target groups to really understand the triggers for disengaging with the activity. The output will feed directly into the Whole Sports Plan and highlight specific strategies aimed at growing participation and frequency."
